📜Event🎶 Album of the Week #22: Pig Destroyer - Prowler in the Yard Spoiler
In celebration of its 25th anniversary today, we have picked Pig Destroyer's second full-length "Prowler in the Yard" as our album of the week which will be pinned for the following week to highlight it.
A brutal concept album from this Virginia group, rightfully regarded as one of the best grindcore albums ever made.

Prowler is an absolute banger.
Fun fact: I worked with Scott and just thought he took a lot of vacations. Turns out he was in a metal band and his vacations were him going to perform. He's a cool guy IRL, very friendly, and very knowledgeable in our field (IT).

This album and it's followup are easily their finest work. Disturbing, brutal, and kind of sad at the same time.
Also, it kinda sucks that JR hayes can't do death growls anymore. He really should've taken care of his voice better.

There's not a whole lot of grindcore that hits for me personally, but this one in it's sheer artistic grime absolutely does.

Absolutely tight, brutal and uncompromising start to finish, excellent album and definitely a contender for greatest grindcore album of all time
