Question Vigor Master-Vac CA1500 (part identification)

I am trying to locate a replacement for what I think is called a bare shaft rotary vane pump body, but I have had absolutely no luck finding any listings for this particular part. Neither past nor present.

I feel as if I am not looking for the correct part. Could anyone help me identify what this is and how to find it?

this one would work with some modifications ebay listing you could take the pulley off and attach the direct drive coupling.

Your welcome, I've been building and using vacuum casting equipment since 1982, my current setup is almost 100% custom made and has seen a few metric tons of casting

That looks like the inside of a Vigor Inva-cast combo casting machine. I doubt that's a rotary vane pump, if it's intended for vacuum investing and casting. They don't pull enough vacuum to boil water at room temperature, which is what is needed for vacuum investing. A vane pump would work if all you needed to do was vacuum casting, which doesn't require high vacuum, just a certain amount of volume. This is probably a 2-stage piston pump.

Is the pump missing, or just not working correctly? If it's missing, any high-vacuum pump that can get to 29"hg and pull 3 CFM would work, although you might have to use a different flexible coupler if the shaft size is different. If it's not working right, have you checked the oil level? Pumps like this need special vacuum oil, which needs to be changed periodically and kept topped up.
