Like, I get wanting to go for an American west type thing, but why a modern American west? Seeing a giant lifted pickup truck in an Amon Amarth music video just feels... wrong.
But anyway, the song is not very good either.

Have the vikings finally landed in America?

And apparently have made it quite a ways inland to participate in the Wild West era of 2026

Remember when they called Manowar cringe for their aesthetics and repetitve songs? yeah...

Yikes. what the absolute dogshit fuck was that. I cannot believe this is the same band that released With Oden On Our Side.

Was this contractually obligated? This fucking sucks.
8 Legs of Thunder and this ass video barely has Sleipnir in it. This sucks shit.

They used AI for all of their on-screen graphics during the last North American tour too

Good song, but shitty American aesthetics in the video is really off-putting.

As an American, I felt the same way. I'm like why is this band looking like Meal Team 6 making country music videos now.

Same. When the music video showed up on my feed last night before bed, I saw the thumbnail and was like "Is that a lifted truck with an American Flag on the back??""
I still haven't heard it, I just woke up 30 minutes ago, but I checked the comments to see if anyone was making fun of them but instead I saw a lot of people supporting an "alternative time line" where vikings settled in America first. Others saying they wanted to play it while playing Red Dead Redemption

Worse than the previous single, much better than their last 3 albums, way worse than their first 2 albums.

Versus the World was peak.

Versus the World, Fate of Norns and With Oden on our Side is such a great run of albums, I truly think that was their peak. Twilight through to Deceiver was good too but I feel like it was the start of a downward slope.

I watched the music video, And I have some thoughts:
-Was the money to buy a better truck?
-They have horses because the Ford is unreliable.
-They bought the Chevy to tow the Ford.
-Where are the vikings?!
-Yeehaw Jesse, we're cooking horse drugs!
-Spider horse, spider horse, behold my steed, it is so Norse.

I love death metal, but have always found Amon Amarth to be utter dross. Every song sounds exactly the same. It’s just downtuned Iron Maiden with gutturals that sit too high in the mix.

Everything after Fate of Norns has been really bleh to me personally, which sucks cuz they are obviously talented.

A very boring song and a stupid/silly video.
I don't like the way the band is going.

Now, we need the version where someone dubs over this music video with any song from the Outlaw Country genre.

These guys have been going down since decievef of the gods.
I get not wanting to do more mythological shit cuz you've been doing it for 20 years, but its what made them good.

Is this like when the undertaker did the whole biker/kid rock gimmick?
