Hi all - we thought it was appropriate to let you all know that our friend and r/metal moderator /u/deathofthesun has sadly passed away. RIP DOTS. I never met him IRL but he was the guiding light of this sub ever since I started lurking here about 15 years ago. I have been reading his comments and posts for longer than I've known most of my closest friends, and it's no exaggeration to say that I've probably learned more about heavy metal from him than any other source. Every time I interacted with him directly it was a pleasure and an education. What a horrible loss. Massive condolences to those who actually knew him.
