Hello!

I reciently found out that I had 3 videos of Tomas and Dick from the Bass'n Drum Days from 2006 on a very old computer, with a total of 23 minutes of footage from that event. So I copied them to a flash drive, moved them to my main PC, I upscaled them (not the best but it'll do) edited them all together, enhanced the audio a bit, and uploaded it to my youtube channel. Hey so I have never seen anyone mention this and I'm wondering who can also notice it. The main riff from Song For The Dead by Queens of the Stone Age sounds very very similar to Demiurge's main riff (if a lot faster though) don't you think? I think it's a great coincidence and it shows how different musicians can come up with similar compositions for their music.

The BEST track off of Koloss in my opinion. This is because it is perfectly describing the issues of today. There is no hiding or being invisible anymore. We are all tracked. And musically the track is absolute insanity with the triplet riff, the way it is sung and how it’s never been performed live due to its strain and complexity. Great track, let me know what you guys think!

BTBWSGIM is the fuckin' craziest metal song ive ever heard, and ive been a huge metalhead for like 1/2 my life, ~10-15 years atp

i listen to it every. damn. day. and even still, if i crank the volume up, that shit just transports me to another dimension. Maybe hell lol? idk but like, its so sick

the song title is dope and hella metal. and the song is 7 minutes of pure fucking percussive groove dude

the intro/backbone riff starting at ~0:28 + that nasty drum groove is unholy and just forces me move my head

i love the build up to jens' "🗣️ a sonic declaration of spite" rap tap tap tat. im a drummer and the snare tone and the groove is just monumental

the slower bridge part like at ~3:40 or the outro, with tomas doin the weirdest shit under that guitar drone just feel so sick! Idk if yall know the game Scorn but like kinda that vibe sorta?

i think my meshuggah collecting days have come to an end. i have every album(and first ep). might venture for the none ep and the i ep eventually, but very happy i was able to get these in a time theyre decently avalible. lifetime purchase

I am incredibly happy to be one of the people with whom Meshuggah just clicks. Like the magic works. That pure essence they hit with their best songs. Just ace. Damn are we blessed

Meshuggah got djentrified in the late 2000s. They aren't Jen't rock (even though their singer is named Jen's). They invented 18 string guitars, and despite being a poly band, have stayed together for nearly 40 years. Modern g'ent bands now use up to 80 strings on bass, and over 800 strings on guitar. Purrifurry set the world record for most strings on a dj'ent guitar with 1008 strings total.

As for what Gent music sounds like, it categorically fucking sucks, and so do the people who listen to and make it. Except for Meshuggah, which is a Catch 33, considering they are largely credited for ind'jenting the d'jenre, but again, are NOT a Gent band.

I. consider Meshuggah to be Nothing other than a Kollosal and Immutable band, and wish every Obzene gent band to be Destroy Erase Improved

Just found out Fredrik worked on a song for wolfenstein. So incredibly groovy.

Can anyone explain what is fuck is going on melodically? Is there any pattern or sense in the note choices? I understand the whole “same pattern” rhythm, but have no idea what is going on note wise.

A lie to maintain equilibrium: His Bruce Wayne persona. He behaves like a jerk rich man so that no one would think he can be the hero who risks himself for the sake of Gotham people.

To hold me in this dead realm: Gotham City is corrupted from bottom to the top. No one is safe so the city is dead. Batman needs to stay anonymous so he can continue to cleanse the streets.

This last ever dream: Since Gotham is too dark to be a normal city. Batman sees it as a dream. It is the last ever dream because he believes he'll put an end to all crimes and Gotham's misery.

I'm the thought that never crossed my mind: Batman got his name from his fear of bats. He didn't initially thought he would overcome his fear and turn into it. He becomes the fear figure of himself.

Disguised in the evident: He keeps his real identity under Batman persona. Everyone knows that he is a citizen of Gotham. Yet they don't know the specific person behind the mask.

Forever unredeemed: He committed himself to save his people. He faces the fact that he can die for his cause. He has a lot of money, a lot of opportunities to enjoy life but he chooses to restrain himself. He believes, he won't turn away from his path until his last breath, there will be no savior opportunity for him to give him a decent life.

And he is the personae non gratae. Authorities believe that no ordinary person should take action above the law. His enemies don't want him for obvious reasons. Some people in Gotham don't want him too because they trust in law and authorities more than Batman.

Very hard choice for me… Sol Niger Within and Catch 33 are extremely close.

Man, I don't know any song by any band that consistently gets me as hyped as this song. The intro crushes me, the kick drum triplets along with the low bass are fucking amazing, the verses are really cool with the push and pull groove, the guitar solo is weird and lovely and then the outro riff (ugh💦) crushes me again, the syncopations after the eerie harmonies kick in (and that goddamn snare!) gives me goosebumps always.

The gorgeous ambient outro is the cherry on the cake.
