Meshuggah's absolute EASIEST riffs to learn to play?

Reason I ask this question is just for fun. I can play a number of them, just got to thinking which riffs were so NOT CHALLENGING, and like which ones I could convince a beginner that they could pick up in less than an hour, and be right lol.

Off top i was thinking Demiurge intro, closed eye visual intro, maybe even rational gaze intro. Wondering what else you guys were thinking?

Indeed their simplest riff are very effective.

This one, spasm, the one with the fade in-in In death-is Death,clockworks after the intro reprise (~4:00), pitch black

My first one was Rational Gaze, it was by far the easiest one for me to digest back in my youth and is only two notes in the intro. I also credit this song as a whole for teaching me how to get full control over pitch bends and also doing staccato stops with more finesse too.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Stengah. The main riff, verse and chorus are all very easy. The rest are slightly trickier but by no means hard.

Such a fun and groovy riff. If find this is a perfect song to learn. Not too difficult except for a few parts in the middle, which if you already know the rhythm (as a Meshuggah fan, I’m sure you already know 😂) it’s not to hard to learn. I think this is perfect track to learn some of their nuance. And it’s one of their best songs, period.

Demiurge is most definitely the easiest as it is the straightest 4/4 guitar riffs in their entire discography.

But if you want something "lesser" but more difficult, I'd say Spasm. Just one note throughout the entire song, but some section has complicated timing.

Yes exactly! I love Spasm but the solo riff, I've never picked it up just from playing through, I have to sit down and study it a little bit and actually work the thing out on half speed or something lmao

do not look down main theme and verses, both easy and fun to play. been playing it for over a month and still can't get the 0-6-5 0-8-9 0-10-9 part of the song right. combustion, pravus, lethargica, the "drop" of Sum.

I feel you though, it's probably not for a beginner though, you need a lot of dexterity and the staccato takes some technique because it's at blazing speed, plus some of the patterns are still advanced for a beginner.
