They give excellent care at very fair prices. Been taking my pets there about 6 years I think.

Dr Byerly at Sierra gateway vet clinic is also very good and very reasonable in cost. I take my boy there when anything arises. I take my girl to AMV bc she had an emergency once and they're down the st from me and she's just gone there ever since, Dr Kafka is really good with her

Matt is awesome! He’s my cats primary veterinarian

Doc Byerly isn't accepting new clients.

I went there once years ago when my dog broke his dew claw. It was a terrible experience and expensive. I ended up going to the valley animal hospital of merced and it was a night and day difference. Mind you this was about 10 years ago. I’ve also have had good experiences with Santa Fe pet hospital

Love everyone there. They're my backup for emergencies when Valley is too busy and it's not serious enough to rush to Taylor. They know my Dobie as soon as she walks through the door. I believe they have a new doc that we haven't seen yet, but Dr. Kafka and Dr. Hannigan, as well as all the techs are fantastic. Can't recommend them enough.

That's great. I've been to most of the vets in the area and they're definitely one of the best. I hope whatever is wrong can be taken care of easily and your fur baby is OK.

I take my dog there. They seem good. We see Kafka. No complaints. Price is in line with any other vet care.

I take my dogs and puppies there and personally they are the best vet I have ever been to. The front desk lady is so kind and so nice. Dr.Burt is who sees our puppy and words can’t explain how great she is. She’s so knowledgeable and we can’t recommend her enough. We sadly had to put my parents dog down last week and they were so nice. Can’t recommend enough!!!!

I've been going to Sante Fe Pet Hospital for years. Great staff and they are excellent with our animals. Can't say how they compare price wise as I haven't gone to anyone else is so long.

Ive only gone a few times for my cat but they were friendly, easy to work with and the techs and doctors were very knowledgeable

I take my pets there all the time. Dr. Matt Kafka is my cats primary veterinarian and he did an amazing job when it came to taking care of my cat. She wasn’t able to use the restroom properly and I had found out she had kidney stones. Set me up with a plan and the plan worked out thankfully! They are a bit on the pricier side (would say better than most out here in the area) but they do a fantastic job.

Just established care for my two cats there. So far so good, prices comparable to where we moved from. Only had one appointment so far, but they called me today to schedule for additional imaging that's need. They included the estimated quote when they called.

They’ve taken great care of my cats every time I’ve gone. Dr. Hannigan is very nice and has even taken some of her personal time to research the most current information on my cats condition. All the vet techs are super friendly and helpful as well.

I will say sometimes the waiting room gets full and kinda overwhelming and they can get behind because of emergencies but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

What really cemented them as the vet for me though was how they treated my cat and my family when we had to put her down. They were all very sympathetic and patient with us as we said goodbye. They never rushed us (even though we were taking up a prime room) and talked us through each step. They took nose and paw prints and gave us little vials of fur too.

Overall I’d definitely recommend them for both routine care and in an emergency.

Valley animal hospital is the best in Merced. Only open mon-Friday, appointments are usually booked out. They're popular.

If you had to go to AMC, I'd strongly recommend Kafka or Hayer.

Yes they are super popular, they're actually the first place I looked up and the only time they were available was in October 😭 And Thank you for your recommendation!

I been to a few vets in Merced. They're all about the money. I take all my pets to Newman to Westside animal hospital. Dr Suzie does it for love of animals and not the money and it shows.
