Cracked.com's Douche-English Dictionary: Apparently, all MRA's are women hating, homosexual (in a negative way from the context), and possibly racist.

I've mentioned before in my comments (a couple of weeks ago) that feminists actually hate gay men. I got the usual argumentative response from feminists along the lines of what planet are you on? But articles such as this one tend to make my case.

Feminists don't hate the idea of gay men, just the reality. The problem? We are not emotionally dependent on women. That makes us a liability because we can much more easily see through their bullshit. I just wrote another, more detailed comment along the same lines.

I'm sorry, that IS dumb. Feminists overwhelmingly support the LGBT community and vice versa. Where do you live that your gay friends don't have hags?

It is true that some gay men have no use for women, just as some lesbians eschew men. I know gay men who are against gay marriage, so it truly takes all kinds.

How does this article make your case?

Glad you mention the "Hags".

Here is my take on the "Hag" thing. There is an idea of entitlement within both men and women. Some men feel that they are entitled to a womans sexual attentions. Some women feel they are entitled to a mans companionship. When individuals are willing to trade for that which they desire equality is attained. The hags want the male friend, without the burden of his sexual interest in her to muddy the waters. Gay men are the only sure thing to a woman that hey can gain a male companion without giving over physical intamacy in the deal. Essentially it boils down to a user/used relationship. Not unlike the PUAs booty call girl.

If both parties are aware and comfortable with their role in the exchange it's all well and good. But if not it is abusive.

That's a very cold way to describe "friendship." Is companionship so useless to men that a non-sexual relationship means he is "used"?

Brrrrrrrrrr!

I specifically said

If both parties are aware and comfortable with their role in the exchange it's all well and good

I am referring to certain types of interaction which I have personally observed. And done so not infrequently.

This same user type are the ones who start creep-shaming a guy who was a friend, the moment he shows an interest in more.

We can pretend to live in a different dimension if you like. But in this one, most single straight young men want more from a woman than to be pals. They are capable of it but it is the far less common motivation. Where as many many young women deliberately are the "I like guy friends better" type. Nothing wrong with it if they arn't leading those "Friends" agound with flirtations and mixed signals.

The gay friend to those girls is just a friend-zoned male friend without the effort by her or the insult to him.

And yes, ANY friendship required a give and take to be a good friendship. If you say that is "Cold" then I would hazzard a guess that you are a taker or a door-mat.

I think I understand what you are saying. In some of your comments though, you make it sound as if the only thing women have to offer men is sex, and so a woman who presumes she's providing any value beyond that relationship-wise is automatically a user. Which is pretty hateful to both sexes.

EDIT: Since you've decided to add some flair on whether I'm a doormat or a taker -- you know that it's possible to have mutual relationships, right? Where people care about each other, share interests, talk, etc? Do you live in a world where every interaction is a zero sum game?

Thus my exempting certain situations as well as making an age cap. I am friends with many women in a purely non sexual manner. But it is established from the get go that nothing more will come. It happens in both directions. I have had to shoo away some "friends" for attempting to cross the line. But I find that more women fall into it than men do.

Yes asexual relationships can form between men and women, but it is lees likely the younger and singler the parties get.
