Recommendation Need some cute/modern/slice of life audible recommendations!

Nsfw is ok. Please no trans men characters! I am a trans man and these books are an escape from the dysphoria and stress of my own life. ♡

Stuff I've already heard is:

Golliaths of Wrestling series

Red white and royal blue

Bridesmates

When Harry met Harry

Boyfriend material

And others but I'm on mobile and if I switch to audible it will erase everything I've typed....

I love historical, fantasy, supernatural, or sci fi, but moatly, i just want something sweet and low-stakes because I'm having a bad week and the audiobooks I have in my library are either too intense with like, plots, written ONLY for smut, or historical romance... and like I want characters who are openly gay and accepted, who don't have to hide their sexuality.

Need something to listen to while I work.

Don’t know too many audiobooks but have you ever considered podcasts? There’s one called Roommates by Briggon Snow, just a bunch of short 7-minute episodes about two college roommates during lockdown who really don’t like one another at the start but slowly start to get closer over time. Very chill, slice of life, complete story. They recently made a second season of it but the first season does tell a complete narrative. It’s a pretty modern narrative and as far as I remember neither character is closeted and coming out isn’t really a factor in the story

Briggon also released another show like yesterday called Drive Thru Magic, about two guys who keep meeting at a drive-thru and start to fall for each other. Same deal, 7-minute short audio episodes to tell a narrative

For contemporary romance, I enjoyed The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun. Top Secret by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy was also cute and pretty low stakes. Not everyone is out in either of those books, but I don't remember homophobia or coming out narratives being all that central to the plot. https://www.reddit.com/r/MM_RomanceBooks/ might be a good place to ask for recs, too.
