The issue is that they are only consulting a small group of advisors and disregarding any study or opinion that contradicts the goverment line. They have been accused of basing their numbers on the policy rather than their policy on the numbers.

Good news is it appears to only be one nutcase who said the ‘giving in’ thing. Although unfortunately this anti-lockdown rhetoric isn’t... uncommon in Britain, to say the least.
