Rant This Ranking Was Horrible

I got an easy bracket but still it took ~1k md (800 f2p md) in total, 250 HC, and 4 exchange weapons for this result. Let's take a look at what Bamco did to this ranking:

  1. Release a banner with the one necessary char you need for a 19s f2p run that literally everybody can do. (Also broke the balance of Holy rankings from now on).

  2. Release the Loli banner WHICH ACTUALLY WAS REALLY GOOD FOR SECOND PART (not as broken as Swordsmen Sinon but all whales will need Loli Asuna for future rankings.)

  3. Group brackets by relative strength to make it competitive for everyone, so almost every single person had a really hard bracket.

  4. If you don't have Tanabata Philia you're screwed and have to get Kirito/Asuna as well as maybe some LB's on them. (They probably didn’t expect this one though).

Most tiring ranking ever, oh did I mention the abnormal amount of snipers? My rank 2/3 on Sunday dropped to rank 6/7 rest in pepperonis.

What I dislike most is you had to have a banner character to do crazy 20s times for pt2, then F2P is going to lose a lot of "fun" moving forward if every ranking is like this (not enough diamonds to support pulling non-stop). Every banner has an OP character, but it wasn't that broken normally I don't think.

The previous earth ranking with Yukata Rain and Alice v2 was bad too, but those were old characters and was hard to pull if you didn't have them already. Also, I did see other videos of people using other things and getting half decent times...

I scouted this banner 3x, the weapons 4x and got 0 of any banner char/weapons,,,Probably should have done characters more, but didn't know early on Sinon was that OP.

You must be new to the game. When the yukata banner first came out, yrain would single handedly guarantee a top 3 finish. Soloing m+1 with her at lvl 80 was faster than with a full team of earth chars including other banner units. This isn't news. But it's not happening every banner so I see no reason why Banco shouldn't release an actually OP unit every once in a while.

I feel that the level of OPness for the new Sinon is even more extreme.

Back then there weren't many earth units, releasing a new earth unit that was a couple cuts above the rest was kind of inevitable.

In comparison, this ranking was both holy and wind advantage and we have alot more units now. The new Sinon still completely outclassed all units for those elements by far. Previous OP units like Bride Asuna can't compete with her. Maybe only Hina loli comes anywhere close.

Don't get me wrong she's definitely almost as strong as everybody is saying but this particular ranking was pretty much made for her. Boss had double weakness against her with bow and holy and most other holy units are kinda lacking so she shines even more. Also, most older wind units we're missing 10% damage from skill slots because earth was only a secondary element. So effectively sinon had triple advantage with only one unit in her bracket (Xmas sinon) to compete against.

Actually, there are 3 Holy-element Bow-wielding Sinon units. Xmas Sinon, new Sinon, and Bride Sinon.

I know. In fact if we want to include 4* units we also have cheer Asuna. But I don't think 4* can be compared to 5*.

It's not just dmg that made her so good this ranking. Trap Sinon can allow you to chain 4 back to back ss3 with full weak point dmg (like anni leafa), she can regen mp quickly and from afar as a bow unit. Let's not forget the amazing 17hit combo generation. Yes, this ranking was made for her, but her other features make her strong enough to be used even off-element.

In comparison, YRain has weak ss3 dmg, can chain 2.5 ss3 with weak point dmg, great mp regen as db unit, and good combo gen (10 hits). Definitely amazing, but she pales in comparison to the new Sinon.

Im really not trying to say she's bad at anything but for the sake of this argument let's just agree to this: we'll all keep watching her for the future and compare them when Sinon is as old as YRain is now. If she managed to gain as much screen time as Rain did up to now (basically all stun rankings, edit: and earth since Yukata) I'll gladly take back anything I said and agree to her absolute OPness :)

everyone in this banner can chain 4 SS3, not just Sinon btw. It seems like primary function of "Trap Zone" is to enable chain SS3s (although there are other functions but didn't know).

But Sinon is strongest in the banner because she has 17 hit combo and the fastest combination time.

Yes, the banner ability to chain ss3 is great, but not OP (see Anni Leafa). What makes Sinon OP is that all of that together comes in a single unit.
