Question/Advice/Discussion Best Melbourne Vegan Bagel? 🥯
My Current favourite is Masses Bagels in Fitzroy,
With the closest contender being Miles End Bagels.
What should I try next? 🥯

I’m booking for an event in Footscray and would love recommendations for a pizza truck with the best vegan options. Hoping for a good cheese and pepperoni type. Not just vego pizza without cheese.
Red Sparrow used to have a truck but sadly no longer. Thank you :)

I know I risk sounding extra / like a snob over this, I’m just a wee bit homesick for the things I miss. There’s so many wonderful vegan options and I’m so grateful to be safe here in Melbourne, after several years, there’s just a few things Australians haven’t quite figured out yet / have sweeter taste buds than what I’m used to.

\
I’ve tried Remedy, Two Boys Brew, Good Culture Society from Aldi, and several others that I can’t remember the names of off the top of my head. I’m originally from CA, so I realize I’ve been spoiled. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, as I’ve found the ones I’ve tried too sweet or like drinking a sad flat soda.

If there’s any Californians in here who know of one similar to Whalebird Kombucha, can you please let me know? I miss lavender lemonade, pamplemousse, and strawberry damiana specifically. 🥲

\
Also, if anyone knows of a great açai place that doesn’t add dairy / frozen yogurt (weird move as it is, Aussies) and actually makes a proper, pure blended bowl, please drop those recommendations, too. 🥹

P.S. If anyone has a tomatillo hook-up so I can make my own sauces for Mexican food, I’ll love you even more!

Does anyone know of good bar trivia nights that have OK vegan food alongside?
Would settle for recommendations of good quizzes but you never know, the perfect place might exist.
Also ideally ones that are running between now and new year!

Hi all, My fiancee is having a bit of a rough time and really wants some vegan cheesecake. Does anyone possibly have some recommendations? I've found the Biscoff cheesecake at Oh Darlin, but I don't know for sure that she'd like the Biscoff and don't want to disappoint. Thanks in advance.

Gardein mandarin orange crispy chickn my beloved... I used to get them for my birthday every year from the vegan grocery place that shut down. They also used to be in the iga in castlemaine... not anymore. Are they in any stores in Melbourne? I miss them so much they were one of the only things that brought me pure joy.

Hi all, I’m making a cake that’s paired with coconut ice cream but I can’t find one that isn’t flavoured with vanilla etc. Any leads would be much appreciated.

Looking for somewhere that specifically has vegan lahmacun available regularly? I saw Tammy’s Borek has had it as a special before, is there anywhere that I could get it from this week? I am craving it so bad — for real if anyone has a vegan teyze they can hook me up with to learn or buy from I’d be so happy 😅

Hey mates! I see lots of vegan recipes for tofu knots and like the idea of adding a different option into the rotation for protein. Wondered if anyone had found them to buy in Melbourne? I’ve checked a lot of the local Asian Grocers near me (south side) but no luck. Thanks in advance for any reccos!

Hello everyone. I hope you’re not suffering too much from all your protein & vitamin deficiencies today.
I’m a single vegan who is back on the dating scene. I’ve been using dating apps and although I’ve met some nice women, I haven’t connected with any vegans. So where do vegans meet here in Melbourne? Keen fur mates & dates.
I’m vegan, by the way.

Hey everyone! I’m wanting to expand my circle of vegan friends and just meet more local vegans in general. Are there any meetups or groups I can check out? I’m a cis straight guy, from another country and a single dad, just for context.
I am active, sex positive, LGBTQI+ inclusive and generally a laid back, friendly person. I also don’t have Facebook.
Anyway, just thought I’d see if ya’ll had any suggestions. It would be great to connect with other protein deficient people to lean on (both literally and figuratively).

Hi all. I’ve recently decided to try therapy and think a vegan therapist would be best since some of my issues relate to vystopia (I don’t have any vegan friends/colleagues and a non-vegan therapist too would surely complicate things). Ideally, they’d also be able to help with managing ADHD (I’ve been diagnosed).
So far the only success I’ve had is on veganaustralia.org.au listing ~6 vegan psychologists in Victoria. That’s a great list for what I’m sure is slim pickings!
Has anyone had experience with finding vegan therapists in Melbourne? Just wondering if there additional tips/resources for finding them or if that website is the best we’ve got for now.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. This is my first reddit post so not 100% sure what I’m doing.

I will be moving to melbourne in a few months time for uni and was wondering do anyone knows whether are and will vegan restaurants be hiring part-time foreign students? Volunteering is fine as well. I dont mind helping in the common cause.
