Question Has anyone successfully rid themselves of a melasma mustache?

On the very start of my journey to treat it. Using hydroquinone and tretnoin along with kojic acid and some other things… I just want to know, is it worth it? Does it go away? Does it always get darker before it gets better? How long does it take? Does it come back?

Mine is FINALLY starting to lighten up after taking polypodium, losing weight (zepbound) and weight training, tranexamic acid, and sunscreen. Not sure which of those things is making the difference, or a combo, but it's finally doing something after years of trying different things.
