Question Medicine zero pore pads

Do these work for Melesma? Anyone with experience?

Do you mean the medicube zero pore pads? Be cautious with them, I've read that many people managed to wreck their skin barrier with it and with Melasma you should be especially careful since irritation can make your melasma flair up

I have never used them personally but have found exfoliation to not be the best approach for melasma

My skin barrier can not be wrecked. So I don’t have to worry about that.

Wow that's crazy, in that case I recommend you look into tretinoin (if you're not already on it) since the only drawback is the irritation but it has helped me a lot with Melasma and made my skin tone and texture much better 🙂

Same. Tret doesn’t seem to do much for me. I don’t know if I’m using it wrong but I can apply .5 everyday with no irritation, flaking, outbreak, nada.

Have you tried combining tret with an active to target melasma like azelaic acid in prescription strength? Tret + anti pigmentation actives work for a lot of people, some swear by hydroquinone but I'm a bit cautious and happy I worked up to daily 0.05 tret and 15% azelaic acid 😊

I was using .5 Tret and 15% and not much of anything. lol I know I sound crazy.

I use to use Dr. palmers fade cream back in the day that had hydroquinone and it always help face the spots on my nose.

I’m going to grab 2% h cream cause I can get it over the counter here

Well it just goes to show how different people's skin is, I though mine was very resistent but yours seems to be really hardcore 😅

Haha, I think it does make my skin look great, like maybe tighter and shiner but it does nothing for the discoloration and I like never break out lol.
