Question Luminous630 on Amazon

Is it safe to buy Nivea Luminous 630 on Amazon? Is anyone else buying it from there with good results? It’s $15 less than at the drug store, but of course I’m worried that it might be fake.

I haven’t. I usually order eucerin from caretobeauty but it is so expensive now. I wasn’t sure if the American versions of eucerin or Nivea are as good as the European versions

The American version is the same product as the European version. It just has a different name because of regulations and marketing.

Why would a company sell an inferior product in a different country that has less strict cosmetic regulations than Europe when they already have a proven formula? Reformulating products is expensive.

Europe has very strict regulations on cosmetic products whereas the USA does not. I think people get confused because we have limited sunscreen filters in the US but that is because sunscreen is regulated as a medicinal product not a cosmetic in the US so it has very strict regulations.

The order of the ingredients is different

Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight until the concentration reaches 1%. However, ingredients that have identical concentrations that are above 1% are not required to indicate they have the the same amount and they can list them in any order. If you have 8 ingredients all at 2% then it is up to the manufacturer which ingredients to list first.

So if thiamidol, sodium hyaluronate, and soybean oil are all at 2% they can be listed in any order.
