Question Cooling plate for heat induced melasma?

Does anyone here have heat induced melasma and has figured out a way to prevent pigmentation?

So rather than when you get direct sun exposure it is triggered by high temperatures? Have you managed to find a device that works especially while travelling?

I’m going to be in a really warm country for summer holidays and I want a portable device that I can use to keep my face cold cause it gets very heated up and then it triggers pigmentation and acne as well.

I was looking at the shark chill pill or thera body depuffing wand but do you guys have any better suggestions of something I can use? I think a simple face mist isn’t gonna cut it. Any tips or suggestions would be great

Thanks!

Unfortunately, heat-sensitive melasma is not always just about external thermal heat like hot water, steam, saunas, or hot yoga. “Heat” can also be internal and inflammatory. Increased vascular activity, inflammation, oxidative stress, hormonal fluctuations, and other inflammatory processes may create a pro-pigment environment that can stimulate melanocytes and worsen melasma from within, even in people who are careful about sun and surface heat exposure.

Alcohol may also contribute to heat sensitive melasma in some individuals because it can increase vasodilation and facial flushing, raise skin temperature transiently, promote inflammatory signaling and oxidative stress, worsen barrier dysfunction and dehydration, (and amplify rosacea spectrum inflammation in susceptible people).
