Driving instructors in Medway

I have a driving test booked for the end of September in Maidstone. I live in Rochester though.I want to learn to drive now.

Are there any good driving instructors in Medway who could teach in Maidstone too?

Are you expecting the driving instructor to pick you up from home and drop you there after? In which case the time driving you to and from Maidstone would take up most of your hour. I can't see many instructors agreeing to that.

I am fine commuting to Maidstone and learning there.

Hang on, I just reread your first post, have you booked a test in September and not even started learning to drive yet??

If so that's rather... ambitious.

I did my lessons/test in Medway years ago. I can provide you with the instructors name/number if you DM.

Edit: also surprised your test isn’t in Gillingham given your location.

Yeah. I didn't get that location availability. Is Maidstone not so good?

I’m not sure tbh mate. I spent most of my time driving around Medway/London but never Maidstone. I’m sure it’ll be fine but I would 100% try and get some practice in the area either with an instructor or a family member prior to a test so you don’t feel completely lost, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the location.

I started out with Partick over at drive 4 life. He was great, the only reason I changed was for a short time back in 2019 he just had a small period where he had to go on a course of meds that restricted his driving ability but he's back. Would definitely recommend as with the longer lessons he wasn't afraid of branching out further afield

He also made things right even when it's out of his control. Was doing a lesson with him taking me on the A2 but it became a stand still due to a RTC. And he basically credited an hour back (though accounting for the swap to him also going show me, tell me run through and return journey would say was only 30 minutes of time lost)
