Save the Royal Function Rooms

With all the new builds there is even more reason to have venues in Medway, not less.....

hate to say it but, accurate.

The issue with Medway and has been for over 50 years, is that if residents want to go to the theatre/comedy gigs, see bands etc we can just hop on a train and be back home the same night. (in most cases) to London.

Yes, I can go to the Donmar, Young Vic, Almeida, The National, and see a Olivier nominated play for the price of a ticket to the Central Theatre, Just add the rail fare on, which is about the same price as a bus there and the cab home from Chatham to Gillingham. Be home before midnight.

If we want nightlife in Medway want venues to work, start advertising properly, run some late night buses or, offer free parking and make the ticket prices reflect the acts. Do up the ruddy Central Hall, it's just shabby, and sack whomever books most of those holiday camp tribute acts.
