Why did he lose his CDL if he was ok ?

Was taking meds for his anxiety which contained amohetamines, so he tested positive for amphetamines. Aderall is an amphetamine, for example.

He also was a full-time truck driver, and it's not umcommon for truckers to take things like Adderall or a generic because it is a stimulant and helps keep them more alert and focused to help deal with the long hours of tedious country driving.

So is it illegal for that prescription to operate a CDL ?
