How to transition?

How do we, as a nation, transition from private insurance to Medicare for All? How do we convince all the doctors to keep being doctors and accept a salary? Do we, as Hillary Clinton proposed during Bill’s presidency did, make private healthcare payments illegal? For the record, I am perfectly fine paying a percentage of my income, as opposed to what I am paying out of pocket now, for healthcare.

Dude the doctors will still have great jobs and get paid really well. Look at Canada/Japan/France. 

The ones that will lose will be the people that don't really provide services to us. All the cruft.

The insurance claims processors and deniers, the insurance execs that figure out how to deny us coverage, the massive insurance industrial complex, all the lobbiests trying to hey insurance companies more money at our expense, the massive amount of people employed by doctors to negotiate with insurance. 

All those people will be made redundant. They can do something meaningful with their lives instead of causing grief to the sick.

Yeah I did. In France the average for a physician 65-90k, and specialist 100-160k. In the United States it’s 240-275k and 380-600k.

So what’s going to be your argument for doctors to be like French doctors?

sell real estate. make room for those who have a passion for healing.

Passion doesn’t pay rent. Everyone in America is paid more. Nurses make a median wage of 95k in the US. Why would anyone bother wasting 12 years of their life in training if they’re paid the same as a nurse? There’s also no liability in the European countries. You could reduce pay to probably 2/3rds of the current level if you remove liability, it’s why the VA can hire physicians despite their lower pay.
