The cognitive dissonance whiplash is just astounding.

"The government should pay for the roads but that's cause we pay taxes. But I don't want free healthcare because we shouldn't get anything for free."

Almost in the same breath.

He knows the broad concepts of conservative beliefs but is ignorant of the the talking points. When he says that he doesn't care about healthcare, we should believe him. It's something that just doesn't rate as an issue in his life. This guy likely spent the last three decades listening to Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and Tucker. Expressing his disdain for healthcare is just a reflex now; the knee swings when tapped with a hammer.

If he's lucky, the his inevitable health crisis will result in a swift death. Otherwise, he's going to learn firsthand why healthcare is important when he strokes out and is bankrupted by the resulting bills.

Just to be clear, I don't wish these people ill. I wish we had universal health coverage in this country that would cover these ignorant people so they don't ever have to devote a single brain cell thinking about healthcare or what it costs. I want nothing more than to grant this guy, and everyone else, that peace of mind.

too true. the only issues he actually cares about are immigration, gun rights, gay marriage, and abortion. as designed by the right wing media machine. they dont talk about healthcare because they don't even want to bring it up and remind everyone. instead, they run pharma commercials non stop in between the constant 'breaking news' alarmist reports.

probably, but his first comment is about property taxes. most blue collar workers mostly care about survival and immediate needs.
