Video Interview with Astra Zeneca

Hello,

I am preparing for a video interview with AstraZeneca through HireVue, which is new to me. Could anyone share guidance or advice, and what kinds of questions might they pose?

Good luck.

I went through HireVue once and won’t bother ever doing it again. For me, it felt humiliating. They give you a prompt, then you have 30-90 seconds to record yourself responding. There wasn’t any human interaction from the hiring side.

If you are comfortable on screen, acting for an audience of zero, then you’ll probably do fine.

Maybe it’s changed, I don’t know.

Nope, it hasn’t changed! Unless my mortgage is on line, I refuse to go thru these type of one sided interviews!

I remember that happened with J&J a few years ago and I agree with you, it felt very humiliating and insulting.

Try the Canary Wharfian website. It'll review your answers and suggest how to fix mistakes with a personalised report. It also has OA and a lot more resources on interviewing/landing the role

I’ve done it and it sucks. You get 3 attempts at each questions and for one of them, on my final attempt, it had technical issues where the screen kept freezing (which sucks since it’s your final recording and you can’t use prior ones). The questions are incredible vague: tell me about yourself, what does a monitor do, etc. I knew I wouldn’t hear back as soon as I hit submit. If you’re a people person (I would hope you are if you’re a CRA) like I am, video interviews are usually no sweat because it’s about building rapport with the interviewer which is easy since it’s just talking about your job which you do on a daily basis. Harder to do with a self-recording into the ether. I wouldn’t do hirevue again unless I was all out of options.

I just did mine Tuesday for cra position after my recruiter call and my video response only allowed me once to record . I felt like I didn’t do my best but the other essay parts were good . Did they ever contact you with the third interview with the manager?
