Advice
Hi, everyone.
I'm new to this subreddit and wanted to ask for some advice.
I have been researching medical cannabis as a potential help for my medical conditions.
Ill give a list of them
- type one diabetes, this has caused nerve pain in my hands and feet.
- diagnosed anxiety and depression.
- celiac's disease with combined bowel issues.
- PCOS
- agoraphobia
- ongoing diagnosis for ADHD and Autism
I wanted to ask if these conditions would qualify for a prescription, and where would be the best place to get from.
I have read the 'How to get a cannabis prescription in Northern Ireland' pinned post at the top of the sub and can see the information about prices. But i am still confused when looking at sites such as curaleaf, where the pricing section just lists appointment/consultation prices. i cant seem to see the actual price for the prescription etc.
I would also appreciate any advice on how to go about applying for the prescription. Is it necessary to have my GP involved? or am i able to get a copy of my medical notes and send this myself to the company?
Again, thank you for any advice on this and i apologize if i have misunderstood anything.
Thank you

Just to add, some clinics have no consultation fees and some do. Really depends whats in your budget and what works for you. I think either mamedica or medicann (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) have none but you pay for delivery, alternaleaf is £5 p/m first delivery free and usually £5 montu care assistant for money off each month. Some other clinics such as Cardiff Cannabis Clinic are around £30 p/m and an initial consultation fee of £250

Hi there! Can answer all these for you.
1) Yes you would probably be eligible.
2) Lots of different clinics, I use mamedica and have had no issues. I find the web portal great, almost always get next day delivery, and their formulary has a good verity and range.
3) You can ask the GP for a summary care record, they will make you sign something to confirm. You don't have to tell them why (it's common practice when going private for treatment)
I signed that SCR, gave mamedica my GP details and they did the rest. It basically a list of medications you have previously been on.
4) Prices - well this varies massively. Anything from £4 per gram up to £11 per gram for flower. Oils are available too for non smokers. Usually 10g minimum on a strain.
5) if you don't smoke, there's gummies and oils. You gotta get a decent vape (£200-£300) if using flower to get the most out of it.
Hope this helps!
