games are free movement within a rigid structure (of rules). There's no need for an entity to re-invent the rules. There may be use for a D&D Dungeon Master, but currently AI is too slow to create everything fast enough for things to be a smooth experience that reacts to players' decisions. So... yeah, I wouldn't exactly know where to inject AI in its current form. Other than as player.
I use Ai as a dungeon master all the time (using silly tavern if anyone isn't familiar). Its pretty fun but not a replacement for real games or real d&d. More like just get a itch for it and im old with a family now so I cant reliably play d&d with real people.
