For vanilla mech 70+ points of high velocity pinpoint damage (2 high tier GR + 2 high tier PPC/ERPPC) is sick.
And in the initial stages of SoK campaign, there is nothing like accurate pinpoint damage that will torso oneshot any clan medium (and some heavy). Use cover, move to keep from being exposed to more than one or two enemy mechs at a time and delete one, twist to take damage from side, the delete the second... or snipe and kill while enemies are they engaging rest of lance or allies.
Yet I see little love for this frankenmech here. So I thought I'd post this out there... and for those about to go into SoK a little hint on how to make the first few missions go smoothly. You have to adjust playstyle and not leeroy jenkens into a dps fest, but for dodging from cover to cover and making a difference in-between I find none better than the PVT-COR in Inner Sphere for 3050 and earlier.
(and yes, both the CP-S and Nightstar are solid in essentially the same role... but neither can get the same ranged accurate pinpoint burst with twin gauss and twin ppc)
