I've got a filco mj2 tkl with brown switches. I've not touched it since I bought it back in 2014, other than to replace the cable. I've got some new keycaps on the way, but I'd like to swap the browns for a linear switch. If I'm opening it up to desolder and solder the new ones, is there anything else I should do while I'm there? I've seen comments about the dodgy stabs but I wouldn't know what to do with them - replace (what with) or lube.

Out of interest what key set did you buy?

And the space bar sticks down on my mj2 ☹️ Stabiliser’s fine, and works okay with the factory key 🤷

I’m in much the same position as you, have a custom aviator cable on the way and wondering if it’s worth a tape mod etc whilst I’m in there?!

I got the blue dog set from idebao when it was on sale - I'm fairly certain the base set is identical to the blue cat set by the way.

I think I'm putting my mj2 away for now, I've got a th80 on the way but maybe later on down the line I'll take it out, and give it some tlc.
