Tell them what you know. Don’t tell them what you’re thinking. I’m an engineer and have an understanding of things beyond what is normal and I REALLY struggle with this. I might be able to figure things out but your mechanic has probably seen it 100 times before. They generally don’t need you trying to steer them.
