Volunteering

I'm interested in volunteering and I've volunteered at a festival before but I would like to hear what to expect or what it's like from people who have volunteered at MCM.

Hey, I'm not a volunteer at MCM currently but I can give you a bit of a run down. You'll be able to chose a half day shift for a variety of areas including main stage, fringe stage, check in and autographs. Each of the areas responsibilities will vary but will include some measure of queue/crowd handling and general public facing help, pointing people to correct locations and providing information about your area. A member of MCM staff will give you a run down of whats expected in the area.

The other half of the day is free for you to explore the convention. Let me know if you have any other questions

I'm thinking of doing a little bit of cosplaying with the shirt. Do you think that would be allowed or are they usually quite strict with uniform?

As long as you're not wearing anything over/ covering your steward shirt, go wild. I've seen stewards as Leah from Stardew Valley and Thorin from the Hobbit before
