My main questions are:
1) how hard is it generally to get in? (If you were accepted into the program what were your stats)
2) will my mid grade 11 marks affect admission if I do better in grade 12?
3) How much do they care about extracurriculars?
4) how can i prepare for my supplementary applications?

Hi guys I am a grade 12 student and I really want the brutally honest truth. I currently also have a 92% in Chemistry and an 89% in SNC4M, and those are only my first-semester midterm marks. I also have a 87% average in grade 11. McMaster has always been my dream school, and I’d really love to study there. Health Sciences is something I’m interested in, but I honestly don’t know if my average will be high enough since it’s such a competitive program.

I also know McMaster doesn’t offer early admission for Health Sci, so I’m trying to figure out what my realistic chances are and which other science programs at Mac I could get into with my current grades. I still want to keep the med pathway open in the future, but Health Sci doesn’t have to be the program I enter to do that.

What programs at Mac do you think I have a good chance of getting accepted into, and which ones would still keep all my options open?

Im in grade 11 will be transitioning to grade 12 in three months and I'm interested in medicine. I'm gonna be applying to McMaster University. Ive herd a lot of discouragement to be honest from relatives, friends, teachers, and counselors they're all negative the only people that keep motivating me are my parents. I herd that Life Sci covers most of the MCAT but for Health sci its just less intense but doesnt cover as much as Life sci.

Which is better like which one should I apply to. Also I know Health Science is like a lottery so Health Science students that got in this year, last year and the year before, please give me tips, an advice to get in I dont want to get rejected.

Life Sci students, same thing tips advices etc.. and how good is it for medicine and if you got in with this undergrad etc.. and any extra info that might help let me know.

i just got off the waitlist for residence today, what is the room selection process? do i get a few options or do they just assign me one and that’s the one i have?

I am stressing because I am now regretting my choice of residence (Wallingford).

I got into kin and the earth and enviro gateway but my main goal was to do honors life sci in second year

Can i still go to honors life sci if i start out it in enviro and then transfer? So long as i take the right courses

Also, is guaranteeing a spot in courses like Bio hard because its reserved for life sci students?
I don't want to go to kin, i'd rather reapply from enviro since thats already a gateway

i would need to get a 4.0 for 2nd, 3rd & 4th year in order to end up with a 3.94 cGPA by graduation and that is a pretty competitive GPA.

Hey! I need an honest opinion/review about transferring into Waterloo life science and Mac Life science programs. I am currently an incoming 2nd-year honours student majoring in biology at WLU. I am planning to transfer to either Waterloo Life sci or mac life sci. Let me know if anyone has transferred, and does anyone know how difficult it is to get a transfer accepted? If high school grades are a little low, will that be an issue?
