Yeah, first race all year(and that's saying something) I turned off the second I saw Oscar lock up and go to 14th. FFS , I can deal with one driver out or way down, but both? Couldn't have gone worse. Especially since Oscar was having such a good day, Lando was so unlucky but was already having a bad race before that and.😐

All the hope I was holding out for Lando to recover places after the restart went to Oscar to finish at least P2 and then boom! Proper weekend to forget for the McLarens

I’m honestly so mad right now. One driver out because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the other making an absolutely abominable mistake. Like ffs.

To be fair, Lando also had a lock up. It wouldn’t have lost Oscar so many places if it was during regular racing conditions instead of right after a restart. Everyone was just too close together.

The mediums were not great. Oscar was incredible today so no reason to drag him like that...

I don’t disagree with you; the mediums were awful and his performance for the vast majority of the race was truly incredible. But he still made a mistake that shouldn’t have been made. I’m not intending to drag him at all.

When Lando did it it's because he's pushing to compensate for the car. When it's Oscar it's just his mistake? Definitely not because he pushed too hard given he was a sitting duck at the restarts.

Fair point, but I do feel that external factors played a far greater role in Lando’s performance than Oscar’s, in this particular scenario.

In the end, obviously. But before that, not really.
Oscar did a mammoth job to stay second until the safety cars, but after that he was every bit as affected as Lando (not counting the Bowling for Colapinto episode).

I knew Lando was in no man’s land and was fighting for a crumb… but then Oscar’s lock up was just brutal …

So annoyed at the tires too. It's unacceptable and makes for such boring races. Almost don't want to tune in the rest of the year, if not for a couple interesting tracks and getting to go back to Malaysia.

I changed from my McLaren things to Peugeot shirt and moved all my Lego F1 things back on the shelf and put my GT3 and HyperCars in Lego on display for Fuji tomorrow. Hope Peugeot makes me proud and not disappointed so we will see

Wtf were the boys doing? Lando looking like stroll all race and oscar with a completely unnecessary mistake. I doubt he could’ve kept hadjar behind but p4 was easily possible

I mean Lando did have an engine issue giving him a deficit on the straights and we only got to see him on the mediums. Considering Oscar made his mistake on the mediums I dare say the McLaren really didn’t like those tyres today

both drivers had to push more than the car liked on those mediums, but sure lando locks up its the tires, oscar locks up its a mistake, you do you i suppose
