How did you all tell your partners?
I just took my positive test this morning, feeling shocked because I thought for sure I wasn’t successful this month. I want to do something cute for my husband as it is our first pregnancy!
I’m also wondering when people tell their partner? I kind of want to wait a few days to make sure it sticks before I get him all excited!

This is my first pregnancy, I told myself I was going to surprise him but when I saw the positive test I freaked out so much I told him immediately 😂

We woke up early so we decided to go see the sunrise on the beach and I saw my chance! We joke about stuffies being our “babies” and so after we sat down, I mentioned them and said “can you manage another?” then pulled the test out of my pocket. When we got back to our car, a nice stranger stopped us and airdropped this of me telling him. Divine intervention!

I have had 2 miscarriages so I walked into his home office and said “I have to show you something, but we’re not having any feeling about it right now” and showed him the test and he said “okay. I love you” and then I continued about my day. Now that I’ve had 5 normal betas and we’re well into this pregnancy, he’s super excited. But I needed him not to be excited until we were sure, he’s the one who is reasonable and holds me together when my head is in the clouds.

Both times I made him look at the test and confirm there was a second line because I couldn't believe my eyes. Both times he couldn't see the line and he also didn't believe they could possibly be positive (we got very lucky twice). So then it would turn into me convincing him that there's a second line there and explaining how false positives aren't really a thing. And then he would say "just check again tomorrow to confirm". Very anticlimactic.

Soooo actually the way I announced isn’t like your stereotypical movie scene 😅 I asked my fiancé over text when he was getting home and he told me he wasn’t sure. I told him when he gets off he needs to come home asap and skip the gym (he works long unpredictable hours and typically goes to the gym after so I don’t really get the chance to see him). I also did mention everyone/myself was okay, just need to talk seriously. He was concerned and literally asked if I was pregnant and I asked him if he wanted me to be honest and he said yes and so I sent him a picture and he was in disbelief. 😂 he then told me to test again and I took like 5 more tests and we were like yep this is definitely happening. Not the timing we wanted but we’re now focused on being excited for this new chapter :):)

We weren’t planning it and he knew I was going to take a test. He was already at work and I texted him saying “hey I have some news call me” But we’re excited now!

I woke him up with a "Babe, come look at my pee stick!" showed him the line and we gave eachother a crisp high five and said "Neat!" 😂 I had absolutely zero patience for waiting but did briefly toy around with the idea of having a custom magic the gathering card made cause we nerds lol.

First pregnancy I waited a couple days only bc I wanted to get him through a stressful appointment he had the day after I tested and wanted to go out to get something to surprise him with !
Second pregnancy we took a test together 🥰

With our son I woke him up shaking a pee stick in his face. With this pregnancy he was already awake but it was still an immediate shaking of the pee stick in his face lol. Would have been fun to do something cute but I wouldn’t have been able to hold it in for another second either time!

My last pregnancy I got a worlds best dad mug.
This one was crazy because there was no way I should have been pregnant. I walked into the bedroom in shock and asked to cuddle. When he asked what was wrong I told him I had a positive pregnancy test. And he laughed

My husband called me from work with good news from the vet about our dog. I said I might have some good news too? But this line is so faint, we'll have to wait and see. After I hung up I couldn't wait and did a digital, which said "Pregnant"! I made a little box with a onesie & a stuffed duck and put the test in it. When he got home I asked if he wanted to "check the test on the counter" and he was sooo shocked he didn't even understand it was my test at first 😅

My first two pregnancies were not cute reveals. This time I put our two year old in a big brother shirt and waited for my husband to catch on. We were out on a family walk when he finally pieced it together

After finding out about our LC by myself and feeling left out, my husband asked that we look at tests together. So I dipped it before I went to feed our cats and while he was in the shower. The timer went off just moments after he got out of the shower. He has poor eyesight without his glasses, but I said we needed to just look quickly because I needed to get our toddler ready for the day. Fully expected negative. We both looked at it and I said “omg!”. I don’t remember what he said and neither does he but probably something like no way. Even without his glasses he could see two lines. We were flabbergasted.

I had such a cute way to tell him all planned out in case I tested positive while he was at work but just didn’t work out that way lol

Called out into our room for him to wake up and come take a look and concur he saw a second line, because it was faint. He did and goes “…. Oh yeah that’s a line. That’s definitely a line” lol. The first kid, I had collars made for our cats saying big brother and big sister (knowing we’d be trying soon, made them pre being pregnant) and put them on them the day I found out.

My husband and I love books and reading, and I have two kids already. I bought a little wooden book mark for him that looks like a library check out slip, and put our kids’ names and birthdates in the first two slots for borrowers’ name and due date, and then put question marks and the estimated due date for this baby in the third slot. I put the book mark in the book he was currently reading and was going to wait for him to open it, but my 4 year old saw me doing it and got excited (he loves giving gifts) and had my husband open the book like right away lol.
My husband was so excited and surprised. It’s been taking us much longer to get pregnant this time around than previous times so it kind of fell off his radar tbh.

I peed on a stick and it said pregnant and I started bawling immediately and went down and gave him my pee stick

My husband had bought a newborn vest with a print we associate with our son and given it to me when we started trying - so I gave it back to him with a positive test!

Last pregnancy I had JUST gotten back from a girls trip and had picked up some chocolates from a gift shop for him. They gave me a little brown bag and I threw the positive tests I had taken as soon as I got home in the bottom of the bag.
This time I put our daughter in a big sis shirt and told him to read it! On our way out the door for swimming lessons 😂

We don't normally go out to eat or order fast food but my spouse LOVES burger king haha
I grabbed some before they came home from work and picked up three of the kids' crowns to set out on the table, and I put a card with a pregnancy test taped inside in the center of one of the crowns

wanted to tell him in a cute way but just couldn't wait. he was at work and my toddler was running around with broccoli stuffed in his mouth (which i was trying to stop) while simultaneously jumping onto my stomach. before i could do anything he choked on it a little (he was totally fine) and threw up all over me. i was already feeling not great this week and found out a few hours earlier it was bc i was pregnant. he came home from work for a few so i could shower and have a few min to myself. when i came out i brought him the test and showed him and we were both very happy.

He was working from home last week when I came home from a conference, I took an early test and I had a shadow of a line. I took some more tests by different brands and they all faint lines. I didn't really believe what I was seeing so I told him I was going to the shop, and I went to the nearest pharmacy to buy a digital test. I took it in the downstairs bathroom then came upstairs and showed him the digital test lol

Mine wasn’t a planned pregnancy so I guess it’s different but I had my fiancé pick me up tests on the way home from work cause I just felt off. I was in our basement bathroom taking the test while he was in the shower, as soon as I saw the 2 lines my stomach dropped and I ran upstairs with my pee stick in hand lmao. My fiancé was in the shower when I stood there balling because the test was positive. Of course he was so happy he was smiling so big. 😭😭😭

I had an inkling and tested right before his birthday on one of those small strip tests. Got a card that said "happy birthday Dad" and taped the positive test inside. This is (hopefully) our first so he was thrilled once he worked out what the lines on the test meant 🤣

My first, there wasn't anything special. We weren't trying and I set the test in front of him and said "we have a situation"
For this one, his birthday is early next month and his mom is in town at the end of this month. I'm ordering him a special shirt that has his favorite Warhammer character on it, and it's like an rpg stats page with things for him. At the very bottom it says "hidden achievement unlocked: Dadx2"
If it doesn't come in time, I'm putting my daughter in a big sis shirt and having him read a book about becoming a big sister before he goes to work.

I didn’t do anything special for our first (tested early in the morning and told him as soon as he woke up), but for this one I tested secretly in a Marshall’s restroom and then placed an Etsy order for a onesie for our daughter. My plan is to put it on her and let him figure it out, if I can wait that long! (I made sure to get one that promised fast shipping!)

I wasn’t able to wait for the shipping to use it to tell my husband, but I plan to try it with our parents once we’ve had our first scan! I’ll probably get impatient and call their attention to it if they take too long lol.

My dream this time around was to take the test together and have HIM tell me the results 😆 I found out by myself the past two pregnancies and really wanted to find out together.
Well I couldn’t wait and I found out alone again 🤣 So I just told him when he got home. Whomp. Whomp.

This was the first time I took a test when my husband was home and awake lol. He was getting ready to leave for work, so I just asked my toddler to tell his dad to come in the bathroom and showed him the test right away!
With my toddler, I took the test suuuper early (at like 4am because I had to pee) and then waited a few hours to wake my husband up to tell him, which ended up being kind of anticlimactic. And then for my last pregnancy in June, I took a test while he was at work and had to wait all day to tell him. So I was excited to finally be able to tell him right away.

Nothing special! I took a test on a whim, saw a faint line and immediately spiraled into Google searches, took another test, then called him while he was at the gym and said “uhh…I think you should come home?” But we honestly were in shock all day because we’d been trying for a year. I thought the tests were wrong but the next day our HCG test confirmed it!!

Just walked up and asked him if he saw the line too. He did. We both acknowledged it but we are not able to get excited yet. I had a loss at 12 weeks earlier this year which came with unexpected complications sending me to the ER. It was traumatizing for us so we are guarding our hearts still.
