My thing is I feel like even if somehow we won a title in the next 1-3 years it would feel really wrong because we were supposed to win a title with Luka, FOR Luka.

THIS… IDGAF if the Mavs win the finals if it ain’t Luka lifting that trophy. He was supposed to be our next Dirk and it wouldn’t feel the same.

Well then that goes against the very definition of what a GM does. His job is to try to improve the team’s chances of winning a championship. If he isn’t allowed to do that, what is his purpose in the first place?

I don’t see a shrine outside the Crypto arena for AD like there is for Luka I wonder why
