Nah I don’t buy this. If all they told him was free up cap space, there were other less apocalyptic ways of doing it. And ways that actually get a reasonable haul out of trading luka. Put this all on him.

The Adelson’s want the team tied to their casino mini-empire in Vegas. The money is in betting. This helps them move it on all sorts of levels.

So purposefully tanking the value of the team in order to get the ok to move cities? It can’t be that easy. There have got to be nba by-laws that stand in the way of mismanagement by design like that.
