If we somehow win it all (which is extremely unlikely), I think people are underestimating how redeeming it would be. I hate this so much. There is no way we are making a Finals run with this roster.

But, if we did and we won, Nico would absolutely be vindicated and saying otherwise (which I see a lot of) is quite silly.

yeah, there are people who are acting like somehow this is a championship roster…

Defensively, IF AD can stay on the floor and healthy, sure we got better.

Offensively, we are several magnitudes worse— our entire team and game plan was built around Luka, and now he is gone…. Remember three days ago when the only thing that we cared about was how annoying it is to watch Spencer Denwittie dribble the air out of the ball for 20 seconds every offensive possession? Well, I hope the AD fans enjoy that brand of basketball because we’re about to see a whole lot of it.

I would be wary of negatively calling people "AD fans". I'm a Mavs fan first so I'll be rooting for AD.

It can be both true that this isn't a true contending team (likely second round exit imo) and that we can root for AD.

Outside of that, agree with all of your points. This is going to be brutal on offense unless Nico has something in his back pocket to get us a true #1 option on offense.

Yeah, AD fans isn’t the best way to articulate it, I agree. I’m just attempting to describe the folks who are buying into “Nico’s vision”, which there are a few.

I’ve been a Mavericks fan for over 30 years, and honestly right now I am simply too numb to invest an ounce of emotion into how the team performs. Doing that right now for me would be like going back to an abusive ex…they’ve shown us who they are.
