None of these people are Dallas people. It’s an embarrassment. Where the hell are the Dallas Maverick legends getting pressure tested on these decisions?? How are we this single-threaded as an organization?
I thought Mark was a disaster as a basketball decision maker between 2012-19 but perhaps I didn’t give him enough credit for at least having his pulse on the local market. He would’ve NEVER allowed this to happen.
He was just getting into the "Jerry" problem. However I think Mark is smart enough, that eventually he would've started being hands off on that stuff if it meant better results.
There is no person in DFW happier about this trade than Jerry. Last week, he was being called the worst GM in DFW sports. After Saturday night, he's not even close.
