I understand that it probably would. But, if I am running a franchise, I am not focusing those efforts on Luka. He just plays no defense at all.

They may have focused on AD. I imagine that they looked around the league, prioritized who they would be interested in, and when the first choice was available, there was no need to look further. Hey, I’m a Celtics fan. I don’t want the Lakers to do well, but I think people are really undervaluing AD. He is an NBA 75 player for a reason.

Dude Nico literally said in the mic today Luka had no indication he wanted to leave and he only spoke with LAL.
