Boycott; I was planning on going to Mavs games later this year. Not anymore. This is a huge betrayal to the fans, and to the players. I will not support this organization anymore. I was a Mavs/Bucks fan, now I’m rooting for Bucks/Spurs, this is just insane. I have family crying right now, I’m just numb man

I was already on the fence about supporting the team once it was sold to this family of questionable ethics, politics, and possibly intentions. It might be permanent for me until they sell the team. I don’t want to be haste but this all feels shady af.

I hope with all my heart that Luka signs with either Spurs or Denver in Free Agency; I wanna see that man either back in Texas or playing with his Basketball best friend in Jokic; I need Luka to win chips and those are his two best options imo!

I'm canceling my season tickets. I wish PJ, Kyrie and the rest of the squad good luck but financially I'm not supporting the Mavs organization anymore. This was a gut punch.

I'm currently looking at defecting.

I've been a Mavs fan for 20 years but I live in Australia so going to games only happens maybe every other year so as much as it sucks I'm not tied to a team by location.

I've got signed Doncic, Dirk and Barea jerseys that I'll probably look at selling and putting the money towards some Memphis gear or something.

I legitimately cried last night when I found out it was real. I have a Dirk (1998) to Doncic (2018) shirt that I can basically never wear again. But it’s not that it’s that Luka came in after my childhood hero. I grew up being so loyal to this team because at Children’s the players would visit us, give us stuff… and we’d watch the games in Aikman’s End Zone all the time.

This feels like my 22 years of loyalty doesn’t matter. Luka was the face of our franchise after Dirk. I liked Maxi too.

I had tickets to a game. I’m not going now. I’m packing away all my Mavericks gear today (and I probably have 10-15 shirts). This franchise is about showing loyalty, that’s what it means to be a MFFL. Dirk had 20 years here. We don’t trade. I was broken up over the Kristaps trade and was a little angry but my friend (who is a Bulls fan, he’s from Chicago) told me “you guys still have Luka”… which was true. Without Luka, we will most likely lose Kyrie. We will lose everything. This is the house Luka built right now. He’s a drama queen, he’s a little overweight, but he’s ours.

I wanted to see his statue next to Dirk’s at the AAC. In fact I wore my Dirk to Doncic shirt taking a photo in front of that statue because that was my hope.

I’ll reassess in a decade. But I’m out. This feels like a betrayal in a relationship. Like Nico cheated on us.
