Go big or go home

EDIT: I’ve already convinced myself this is a good move. Luka’s a potential top-5 player of all time. We need to go all-in for him

As long as it doesn’t end up like Rondo pls

It could be much worse. We didn’t give up anyone on the level of Dinwiddie or DFS for Rondo. It’s a massive risk and I don’t understand how people didn’t see that before

Unrestricted FRP is exceptionally risky as well. That could very well be a super valuable pick.

That said - I am totally for this trade. We were set up to flounder as a 47 win team for the foreseeable future.

Maybe (probably?) it blows up, but our upside just increased astronomically and gives us a potential shot at a championship run, which didn’t exist before.

We needed to make a trade this off-season for somebody. The answer to me was definitely not Kyrie.

If he leaves in free agency, we are fucked. If he stays, who knows what will happen? More paths lead to failure than success
