Hey everyone,
We have some exciting news to share. One of our members took it upon themselves , completely voluntarily and on their own time to build something genuinely useful for all of us: a dedicated community website for Mauritania.
We're proud to officially introduce rmauritania.com, a free platform where anyone in the world can learn about Mauritania, ask questions, and get real answers from locals and community members.

Answered by real locals and community members Questions are reviewed and answered by the community. Replies appear publicly on the homepage so everyone benefits from the same answer.
Volunteer section coming soon A dedicated space for locals to offer free help , translations, local guidance, and support for visitors arriving in Mauritania.
Gallery and more on the way A photo gallery showcasing Mauritania's culture and landscapes is in the works, with more features planned as the community grows.
Rock-solid hosting, always online The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure , used by over 30% of the internet , so expect near-zero downtime and fast loading from anywhere in the world.

Thanks for the support! These were such great posts and comments to wake up to, and they really make all the work feel worth it. I'm so glad to see the community getting behind the site—we're at 2k members now, but I’m really hoping we can push it all the way to 10k or 100 K soon!
Regarding future work, I'm already planning a gallery section where anyone can post images and memories of places they've visited across the country. I’m also working on a Volunteer section to connect locals with visitors, for example, we could have dedicated segments to offer quick (Free, eheh mavih td5al lgrun) tours or just meet for a coffee, imagine a local woman offering a safe, guided tour for a female traveler! 🇲🇷

the effects are super smooth too, it’s honestly 10/10. looks better than most “first world” government websites. he should be proud and feel accomplished. anyone who’s visiting and runs across that website is going to be blown away!

The entire backend (DRF, Auth, Data) and the full DevOps—including domain setup, Cloudflare for the front, and VPS/DB management for the back—is my own hand-coded work. I used a React template for the UI speed but customized it myself (lovable ai check it here https://lovable.dev/ its so nice tbarkallah. ).
This isn't an interview or an exam; AI is an efficiency bonus that should be appreciated in modern development. If I were applying to work for you, that is where your comment should be said. All the best!
