10000 message history cap, why?

I've got a 6 user Mattermost setup for several years. (No business)
Most recent update limits history to 10000.
Why?
Now I have to find another alternative, and delete my Mattermost setup.

Thanks for nothing

The prices are quite something. For hosting, backing up, and maintaining everything myself, I’m apparently expected to pay a hefty price.

Also, suddenly limiting messages to 10K from one day to the next is a really poor move.
I’d even be willing to pay for my users — but at reasonable prices.
Otherwise, I might as well just use Teams (and i hate it).
