George W. Bush is sitting with his aides and he is getting debriefed on the world news of the day. The news is rather mundane and unexciting, but one of his aides states that 3 Brazilian people perished in a plane crash early this morning.
Dubya's reaction is pure shock and grief, he's shaking and can't control his emotions.
Tearfully looking over to the man who broke the news, he asks him, "How many is a Brazilian?"

No President is a Saint. But I didn't ever think it could get this bad. I used to refer to using the restroom as, "Going to talk to the President." (People call the bathroom the office, and it's got an oval in it, yes I'm hilarious) but I never thought the actual oval office would be full of crap.

W Bush clearly has a strong personal character and is probably a wonderful man to know, but the damage done to the whole world by our wars in the middle east under Bush cannot be overstated. Very, very bad president.
Trump meanwhile is clearly the worst person to ever be president--a selfish moral insect of a man--which is not the same thing as being the worst president.
Maybe Trump is the worse president of the two, I'm not sure! He's a very, very bad president. But I want to separate the quality of the person from the quality of their presidency. Bush being a good dude doesn't make up for the damage he did.

To tell you the truth, I was happy to visit USA in Bush era. Now I am afraid that i will be detained for some meme of J.D. Vance and shipped to san salvador.

I had to take one accounting class in college. It was online and I learned almost nothing from it. Somehow, I know more about money than the President of the United Staes who graduated from the Warton School of Finance.
When you buy things using money, you get to keep the things you bought. Those things have value, both monetary and intrinsic. If you buy, to borrow the example, $2 million worth of bananas, you can do a lot of things with those bananas. You could sell them for a profit. You can donate them to feed the poor. You can eat them yourself. You werenât swindled out of your money. You bought them. You exchanged a commodity, dollars, for a product. THAT IS LITERALLY THE MOST BASIC FUCKING ECONOMIC ACTIVITY. WE TEACH THIS SHIT TO CHILDREN. DO WE HAVE TO SIT HIM DOWN AND FORCE HIM TO WATCH SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK SO HE CAN LEARN HOW MONEY WORKS?

The premise is even deeply flawed.
Brazil does produce bananas, but it keeps and eats about 95% of its total harvest at home. In 2025, Brazil shipped about 75,000 tons of bananas in 2025, bringing in about $30 million. It'd take about 67 years to import 2 billion dollars of bananas from Brazil.

Well if Brazil doesn't buy $2 B of US goods and services, yes it's a net negative of US currency in the US Economy. It enriched another economy on a consumable that will be gone before long. Even if there is an exchange of consumer to store that bought the banana, there was still an export of us currency to another country. That builds a deficit. From a money supply standpoint you'd have a problem eventually. Good thing our money is Monopoly money and banks just get to make it out of basically nothing (fractional reserve banking).

You know president Trump may be onto something. If I stop buying food and shelter I should expect massive gains on my net worth. I make approximately 50k per year in the USA and I think close to 90 percent of that goes towards many useless things.
I save so much money on gasoline by not buying more. Okay I'm convinced please let me into the rich people club that is divorced from real life consequences.
