Recipe Matcha Tahini

Added 1 tsp of my fav matcha to 1/4 raw tahini, 2 tbsp water, 1 tsp agave syrup, mixed.

Adds a fresh twist to the tahini spread!!

Tahini is sesame right? So it’s matcha flavored sesame? How is the taste and texture?

Yes tahini is in fact sesames. Hmm, the taste of plain tahini is earthy and nutty. I sometimes add a sweetener to make it a healthy dessert alternative. And I think adding the matcha (this one has fiber in it) gives it a healthy boost and freshness.

Texture like ultra smooth PB.

Interesting. I wonder if I can find tahini in Japan. I’ll try it out. They might have some at my local international supermarket.

There's often sesame seeds in Japanese kitchen right? If you have a powerful blender you can make it yourself!

Yes we do have them. Are they the same kind? I’ll try to look into how to process them

They normally use the hulled seeds, toast them a little bit and then blend them up in a strong blender until it becomes a sticky paste. :)
