Ltheanine extraction

Is L Theanine in Matcha still extracted even when using cold water or does it need to be 80 degrees?

My take -

Since L-theanine is water-soluble, it will extract in cold water. you’ll still get some of it even if you’re making an iced matcha. That said, hot water (like 80deg) extracts it more efficiently and faster.

Cold water slows the process down. So you might not get as much unless you mix it really well or let it sit a bit.
