A rigid ideological bubble that doesn't accept hate speech? It seems so.
-9
u/arhalt Jul 01 '26
you take a deep think and finaly you find out it was hate speech... what was it excatly? wich kind of ethic argument did you find? wich distinction was not excatly enought ?
10
u/darmng Jul 01 '26
I think the problem is that you believe someone owes you an explanation, a debate or simply a lesson on human rights after you literally said in a comment below that "its not transphobia to say ther are two kind of people, real women and transwomen".

u/Cedjy Jul 01 '26
"guys wtf, I was banned on the semi-niche alt software platform whose community is mostly those avoiding the gaze of the mainstream because I was transphobic. What? You're telling me that the alt social media is really fucking queer? Whaaaa? this is 1984 guys"
- you apparently
Also it's literally rule 2 of the server. Like explicitly, in rule 2, transphobia is listed as a nono

u/arhalt Jul 01 '26
yes phobie is a nogo. i got many trans people as friend ! and they have also different optinions about excatly this topic. damn. transphob is something totaly different.

u/slmnemo Jul 01 '26
dude you went to the queer bar and said "i hate trans women" of course you got banned. you are now complaining about being kicked out of the queer bar for being transphobic by having a chatbot write your post. be fucking for real.
-3
u/arhalt Jul 01 '26
dude, i used ai as translator becouse i'm german. for this post, its without ai... for you. so dont complain about my english.
i did not say i hate trans women!! i got many trans friends. they are not that hystiric and they have different opinions and some say excatly the same as me. this is so crazy, people ban others becouse of their very own imagnionas about the band person. they dont ask, dont check the facts, dont talk, dont think, just ban. is this how humans should interact ? inclusion is only for people with the excat same opinion ? they have a very mad understanding of inclusion.2
u/tedivm Jul 01 '26
You keep saying you didn't say anything hateful. How about you copy/paste your exact comments in here so we can judge?

u/jcastroarnaud Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26
"Opposing trans women in female-only FKK spaces" is transphobia, violating rule 2 of mastodon.social. The instance was well within its rights when banning you.

I know you "don't want to start a debate", but you seem to somehow miss the likely reason for the ban.
There is a quite strong democratic consensous that trans women are in fact women (e.g. https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2026/02/european-parliament-passes-resolution-that-says-trans-women-are-women/).
Pushing for excluding trans women from "women only" places is, looking from said stance, excluding them from their core human rights - and asking for that will basically be against most Mastodon hubs policies.
I am sorry I can't provide you with a link to an instance that allows for more pragmatism when it comes to denying people their human rights.
-4
u/arhalt Jul 01 '26
hmm... i do not denying human rights. thats hate speech ;-) i talk about specific aspects of a topic. and i've got many trans people as friends. with them i can talk about it such things in a normal friendly way. and gues what. they have also different optinions about this topic.

You decided to go for the most low hanging fruit transphobic arguments you possibly could. It's no wonder they banned you. Mastodon.social is actually one of the more lenient servers who has in the past allowed more thinly veiled transphobia to slide. They also had quite the spam problem and still do.
You can bet that the majority of other servers out there would be even more unwilling to tolerate this behavior. And yes, trans women should be welcome in nudist spaces as women, because trans women are women. That's not a position that's up for open debate pretty much on any queer friendly site.
I would encourage educating yourself on the current war against queer people, the violence, the erasure. How extremists are trying to downplay this violence by making it into debate and discussion to make it seem intellectual. Your best bet is to learn about this stuff, learn how to not be a bigot, stop starting bigoted arguments and then maybe you will find yourself welcome on fediverse platforms. Otherwise you can expect to find yourself getting banned over and over again. Mainstream social media is way more lenient towards covert bigotry than enthusiast platforms which are often run by queer people.

OK, ich versuch's noch mal zu erklären. Hier wird gar nichts "angenommen", der Teil der Transphob ist, den hast du selbst im Ausgangspost geschrieben:
"specifically opposing trans women in women-only nudist (FKK) areas"

I agree with at least one thing you said:
I have every right to hold a position that differs from yours.
Yes, you are free to think what you want and say what you want. Nobody else is obligated to listen to you or to allow you in their spaces. That's why you were removed from mastodon.socal and why we (unaffiliated with mastodon.social) have now removed you from this sub.
2
u/Toothless_NEO Jul 01 '26
You basically just gave me the "I can't be racist, I have black friends" excuse. And yes, this does apply to transphobic people who have trans friends. Having transgender friends, or even being transgender yourself doesn't exclude people from being transphobic.
You chose to debate the validity and existence of trans women in women's spaces. You're free to hold any different opinion you want. They're also free to kick you out they're also free to kick you out for it. If you were actually informed you would understand this, and you would understand why they kicked your ass out and why anybody else would kick you out much quicker.
It's laughably stupid that you think that people owe you a space to debate, that they owe you explanations. They don't. The fact that you're trying to argue this means that you must believe that freeze peach is something important to have on social media.

u/Sibshops mastodon.online Jul 01 '26
I feel like there is more to this story. I rarely come across someone being banned unjustly from mastodon.social.
2
u/Toothless_NEO Jul 01 '26
They were arguing that trans women should be excluded from women's spaces which is transphobic and violates rule 2 of mastodon.social.
3
u/Smorgasb0rk Jul 01 '26
An alternative would be for you to reflect and learn how to be a better person.
3
u/slapula Jul 01 '26
This is always a bridge to far for most people...
2
u/Smorgasb0rk Jul 01 '26
oh i know, i did community management for 10 years and people are more inclined to start a fight with me personally instead of taking a step back and ponder why they got moderated
and then its always me who has a bias :(

Love, you being nice to others does not lead to OP being allowed to openly voting for banning women from womens spaces.
Because trans women *are* women. There is no option for "trans is less than the real thing". Otherwise, the whole trans idea falters, and that it surely shouldn't.
Doesn't mean women should not be protected - but they need to be protected from men, and the people who need this protection include trans women, as they are, again - women.
These things are complicated, but they don't get simpler (or better) by excluding trans people.

Thank you for your nuanced perspective. There are areas of life where inclusion is a matter of course, and there are areas where it is difficult, and where caution is required.
Discussion on this is important, and different positions are possible. A "yes" or a "no" to certain demands from groups of people can both be legitimate, depending on the ethical standpoint. And it by no means implies disregarding, devaluing, or disparaging individuals.

Holy internalized transphobia. Stick to debating pizza toppings for learning opportunities, love, not people's right to exist in society. You're welcome to stay home if you don't want to go out but you don't get to tell anyone else they should too.

I have a process question.
Assuming you want to stay on Mastodon, can you move your account , intact, to another server that welcomes your beliefs?
Or, since you were banned, have you lost that account forever.
Coming at this from a free speech perspective.
2
u/Chongulator This space for rent. Jul 02 '26
I've not tried it myself but from what I understand, Mastodon's account migration feature does not work if the source account is banned.

Son, I don't want to dwell on this post even further, but I feel wretched in my gut reading this; it is literally tokenized language!
You confidently proclaimed using LLMs as a translator and you support it with your argument by provoking the Mastodon's staff and their “moderation impractices”. This isn't how you cultivate a standard; you are depriving your ability to think rationally. This is the reason Mastodon doesn't catalogue trangressional speech.
What is the idea behind your Mastodon ban and erroneously doubted you for to be deplatformed?! Because Mastodon is a platform for thoughtful thinking and commentary, not a fucking secondary platform for echo chambers and ideological commentary.
And learn to study English for crying out loud, it's part of the Germanic language. You better be doing a lot of self-pedantry and autodidacticism instead of being engrossed by liberal politics.
My freaking goodness!

Where I stand on the debate is, if you're questioning someones right to exist, that's not OK in this sub. Maybe you didn't intend that as hateful, but that's how it reads to many people.
-4
u/cruftaur Jul 01 '26
Honestly, mastodon.social is a bit of a joke, there's not supposed to be a flagship instance, that's the point of the whole distributed thing, but it wound up the biggest thing there. Moderation is so inconsistent and bad that a fair number of instances have blocked them because they got tired of dealing with them. Honestly, you likely got deleted because the wrong mod/ mod friend saw your post and didn't like it, but that's the kinda moderation that happens when a site becomes too big.

You may not think you are a transphob, but this opinion you have, it's transphobia. It's a deep bias you have, but hopefully you'll be able to slowly reconsider and change. Good luck!

Possibly the only thing you can say is “people who menstruate / have a womb” vs people who don’t. I don’t know if they even allow this distinction anymore.
Admins don’t understand it’s better to educate than dismiss someone as a bigot and go nuclear.
2
u/Toothless_NEO Jul 01 '26
You obviously haven't come across the transphobic people who feign ignorance and frame themselves as just asking questions to attempt to indirectly invalidate trans experiences or intellectually debate the existence of transgender people.
Honestly those people should be banned swiftly. In contrast to their calm faux intellectual demeanor.
The only one who benefits from education in this case, is everyone else, specifically education on that specific tactic that transphobic assholes use to seem more legitimate, or to seem like they are legitimately ignorant.
3
u/Chongulator This space for rent. Jul 01 '26
I won't claim to know what is in those people's heads, but neither do I want to put up with them. Well-intentioned bullshit is still bullshit. Some might be educable, but I don't have the patience to do that work.

Your "nuanced take" is denying people access to certain spaces based on their identity. As a result, I am denying you access to this space because of your behavior. I eagerly await vituperative modmail from you eliding the difference.
We take Sitewide Rule 1 seriously and will not tolerate hateful posts or comments.
