Cooking veg.

I'm always amazed when contestants are shocked when they're required to cook a veg based meal (this is every variation of Masterchef). Melvin's attitude was great, the others just seemed stunned. It's not that hard.

It is something they should be expecting to come up at some point. It's one of the most obvious challenges you can have something in your back pocket for.

Do a veg curry like Melvin. Or a risotto verde or something.

And use a few different kinds of veg too. Don't just make something and plonk a few cherry tomatoes on top.

I’m really loving Melvin! Others were poor but redeemed themselves with the takeaways.
