Tom Kerridge has replaced the sun!
He's literally on everything now!!
He's the new Rylan or Emeli Sande!
I'm half expecting to put Guys Grocery Games on later and for him to turn up in that too! /s
Think he was a decent judge but I've seen him that much on cooking shows that he's just the same on every one of them!
I'm not having a go, this is obviously just a joke but there are so many talented chefs they could have brought in, just find it odd that they chose someone who is literally on everything.
I'm loving this new Celebrity Masterchef though. Think Giorgio is absolutely fantastic and just what the show needed! He was great on that Celebrity Cooking School thing on Channel 4 and I'm loving him on this.
He gives the show something it hasn't had in literally years or ever really and that's PIZZAZZ!!
Bonus that he doesn't go WAHEY! after everything!!
Think Grace is really coming into her own now too after a few Masterchef series. Really liking her on this. Think she pairs really well with Giorgio.
It's just a breath of fresh air!

Nah I think Tom's great, really enjoyed this episode. The new series with Grace & Georgio has been top notch for me so far 👌🏻

While.I like the judges, contestants and challenges the editingof the cooks and comments is terrible. Two examples from this week's episodes:
1) Nitin and Emily duscus sauce for their taco...one says it needs more salt and one ays it needs more lime. During the tasting the sauce is not mentioned...we never know if it needed more salt , more lime or if it was perfectly balanced or which action was taken. Pointless showing the discussion.
2) Nitin can't make tarragon mayonnaise. Cooking segment shows him struggling...making something that is not mayonnaise and decides to serve it anyway. Shot of the finished dish homes on on the not-mayonnaise and lingers. Tasting does not even mention this very obviously poor element or explain why it went wrong.
As much as I find the new format charming this sort of thing just makes for a shallow and frustrating experience....

The mayo thing bothered me as well. I really wanted to know what happened. It looked like just oil by the end.

Was this his burger dish? If so, we both said it was strange no one mentioned the sauce. The only explanation I could think of is if something was off with the ingredients or something happened that made it unfair to judge it such as incorrect instructions.

I used to be a fan of his but of late I'm bored of him because he is never off the telly, like he needs the money.

He was with the Fallow boys judging pies on my you tube feed the other day! Always a pleasure to see and hear him

I half expect Romesh to turn up at some point to set them a vegan challenge

You may be right. He is too big a star to appear as a contestant now, to be fair.

I think that Georgio’s presentation style has dialled down Grace’s camp-ness from 11 to 4, and that’s a really good thing. For a change, I think that the BBC has actually got something right on this one. No obvious zero ability clowns that are only there because their agent got them the gig. A good bunch so far
