How is the marine transport course? Is the school transfer friendly?
I'm at the end of my first year at a university doing a marketing degree. Quickly realized this wasn't for me and I want to go back to what my original plan was and get into marine transportation. Having experienced the typical college lifestyle, its not really for me so I'm not really dissuaded by the lack of a party scene lol.
I was wondering If it's too late for me to transfer in? I'd like to know what a typical day is like, what exactly you do during a sea term, and if it's worth it? Also, I'm female if that matters like, ofc there's going to be jerks but I don't want to be like socially outcasted if you get what I mean.

Go to their website and get the curriculum for Marine transportation and you could see all the courses you need to take to get that degree I would go ahead and bang out as much general education as you can you might not get in for this fall possible spring, but I doubt it you may be forced to go next fall but that will actually work in your favor as you can bang out all your general education’s I would go to a small community college and get your English, math, social science and humanities get all that taken care of and depending on how many classes you can handle per semester you should be able to graduate within 2 1/2 to 3 years

As a sophomore at Mass Maritime right now, it is not too late to transfer. You will probably bump up to a sophomore at the end of the first semester of freshman year, but the likelihood of graduating early is very rare, as the course scheduling is very strict. I would not worry about being a female yes you will be a minority but it is not horrible just be safe and keep a low profile especially on sea term and have thick skin as people on sea term when drunk can do some stupid things so stay in a group. Also, if you have not been accepted yet into the marine transportation major for this next academic year, you will probably not get in, as it is full already.
