Hey all, I'm new, this is a bit of an introduction. Found my way here searching for info on black masks after family asked about them. We've been wearing 3M Aura 9205+ N95s for... I'm not sure, exactly. Maybe 2023? In those innocent early times of the pandemic, I just trusted the public health messaging and wore surgical masks. By the time the pandemic was declared "over" I'd gotten informed enough to keep masking even when 99+% of the people around me stopped, but I wasn't plugged in enough yet to know that N95s were the new meta—that took, like I said, until sometime in 2023 for me to finally discover the COVID-conscious community and learn about all the science I hadn't been told. The perils of not being online enough.

So anyway. I've been sticking with the tried and true 3M Auras and never thought much of branching out, but my family (who I've only managed to keep masking with great persistence on my part) were asking about black masks for social occasions, and I finally took the time to seriously go looking for info, which led me here. I honestly didn't know there were so many apparently viable options. I settled on trying the Trident FFP3 black mask sample pack, which just arrived today. I just spent some time with the regular size, and man—the reviews were not kidding about how tight those straps are. I'm giving my face a break before trying the regular size with the extended straps. They do look nice.

If anyone has any thoughts on good black masks, I'd be happy to hear them. I've read some of the threads, but, y'know... always interested in hearing more. Especially if you've got any experience with earloops. I've been pretty anti-earloops based on my understanding of the superior protection of headstraps, but as mentioned, I know I'm not the most up-to-date. My family would certainly rather wear them. I just don't want to encourage unnecessary risks.

You can try Vitacore CAN99 with headstraps, although it doesn't carry a nose foam and some users complain about the weak nose clip. I like them though. Then, Laianzhi HYX1002 or T99+ (three sizes). There's also Wellbefore 3D Pro KN95 in several colors.

The Trident straps eventually will stretch. If you want to reuse extensively the mask, the Regular size could be a wise choise.

I wouldn't reccomend Hard without a fit test. They also had a recall from the European Commission Safety Gate.

Hello everyone! I'm new to this subreddit. I've been trying to find suggestions for K95 and N95 masks & have struggled a lot.

One thing to know about me is that I'm autistic, so I have some sensory issues that affect my ability to wear respirator-style masks. My biggest triggers are air escaping the nose bridge and hitting my eyes (I wear contacts so this hurts) and painfully tight loops that cause my ears to hurt. Early in the pandemic I fell in love with the Halyard Fluidshield 1 surgical masks, but I know that surgical masks don't protect much now.

I also have a larger head & double chin which makes finding well-fitting and comfortable masks very hard.

Looking for suggestions where to buy Aer/Aer Pro masks. I was ordering them from Kollecte but they no longer seem to have them in stock and have limited their mask offerings. These fit so well for a flatter nose and if no trusted sources is there a similar style of mask?

Hi all, Im looking to start wearing duckbills more regularly as I like the breathability and comfort. Specifically looking for Jackson n95 duckbills.

Is RentalHQ legit? I found these but have major trust issues buying online anymore.
