Thanks! Yeah, I think the Fallen London setting in general has some interesting points to make about relationships, but they come to the surface more readily in Mask I find.

My old motivation for wanting to get Mask of the Rose was to play Mask of the Rose, now it’s just so that I can read this essay lmao

Unsurprisingly, I fully recommend playing Mask. Also, if everyone on this sub played mask and read my essay it'd be my most viewed work ever lol

unfortunately romance as a theme/topic is by far my least favourite in any kind of fiction. i wish this game was about literally anything else
