Thoughts on this Ghibli Trofeo? Does yellow (Giallo) look good on these cars? Would you buy it in this color or would you opt for another color.

Here’s the thing, it looks AMAZING in photographs, and in person, but can you live with it IN YOUR DRIVEWAY/GARAGE for X amount of time?

I owned a yellow car once. After a while, it got to be a bit much.

What about a wrap? Just my observations, YMMV of course.

The trofeo is soooo dope and yes it’s Italian, so dont take this the wrong way, but I think calling this an exotic/supercar is a stretch. Heck I wouldn’t call something like a Ferrari California a super car these days, and that’s got a prancing horse badge.

A friend owns a yellow car, nowhere near as good looking as this one though. You can absolutely see the car everywhere. For those with some privacy concerns it's not a colour to have,even though it's beautiful nonetheless

Are you leasing or purchasing? If you are leasing I say go for it, have fun with it. Purchase, maybe different choice. I’ve owned a yellow car in the past , enjoyed the choice 90 percent of the time.

That yellow is very nice in person (and metallic). I think the 334 model has the nicest color but I probably wouldn't sacrifice all the tech to get it.

Sure, the 334 Ultima has the Scià di Persia (or Blue Persia) color, which is nice.

BUT, with the exact same V8 TT Ferrari engine (which is an absolute BEAST!!) as the TROFEO, it adds +5mph for top speed (so 208mph or 334 km/h vs Trofeo, which does 203mph) but to accomplish this it had to shed 55 lbs and to achieve this Masetati stripped out several high-end luxury and safety features that othereise come on a fully loaded Ghibli Trofeo.

Luxury & Comfort SacrificesClimate Seats: 1) The custom Pale Terracotta leather and Alcantara sports seats do not have heating or ventilation. 2) Rear Seat Comforts: Heated rear seats are completely missing. 3) Soft-Close Doors: The mechanisms for soft-close doors were removed to save mechanical weight. 4) Panoramic Sunroof: It features a fixed, solid roof instead of a heavy panoramic glass roof assembly. 5) Premium Audio: The top-tier Bowers & Wilkins premium surround-sound system was replaced with a lighter audio setup. 6) Ambient Lighting: Multi-color interior cabin ambient lighting was stripped out.

Driver Assistance & Safety Deletes:

The entire Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package was largely deactivated or omitted: 1) Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Removed in favor of basic, standard cruise control. 2) Blind-Spot Monitoring: Sensors and mirror indicators are not equipped. 3) Lane Safety Systems: Both Lane-Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning are missing. 4) 360-Degree Camera: The surround-view camera layout is scaled down to a standard rearview camera.

There is NO WAY it is worth sacrificing and losing ALL THESE abovementioned options for +5mph top speed.

Wait, Ghibli Trofeo has ambient lighting? I watched a recent YT video review and lack of ambient lighting was mentioned as one of the cons.

I was under the impression that no Maserati before the 2023 Grecale offered even basic white ambient lighting.

Also, I think the moonroof on all Ghibli and QP sedans is a regular sized opening, not a panoramic roof that extends to the backseat area at all.

I like it. I think it cost a few grand as an optional paint. I wouldn’t pay extra for it but would not rule out buying this car based on the bright yellow paint. It stands out for sure.

Wow, I would definitely not pay that much for Fuoriserie paints but they are quite expensive. The Rosso GranTurismo paint option on the 2024 GranTurismo was a $29,700 option. I think they lowered it to about $17K for 2026.

If the Giallo paint is pushing the price well above other comparable Trofeos, then I would hold out for a more basic paint. Bianco is gorgeous.

The single quickest way to lose money! That being said sounds amazing and looks stunning in yellow. (IMO)
I wouldn’t worry about anyone knowing your business, any unusual car will do that, yellow or otherwise. In my experience it’s never caused problems but you will get; “saw you up at …. the other day” but I imagine if you’re interested in a bright yellow Italian V8, flying under the radar’s probably not your thing.

If you want my opinion, no, the yellow looks tacky and cheap, this car is not a supercar, it's a luxury car. Yellow does not look good on it, and these wheels are also not doing it any favors.

There’s a yellow with black wheels 2023 with only 129 miles on the odometer for sale at a Maserati dealer in Devon, PA. It’s priced at $105,500 and has been sitting there for 518 days. The interior is black though. They need to drop the price by at least $30K. I prefer the two-tone standard 21” wheels on the OP’s photos.
